Reinhard, Ruth A. age 90 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Born January 30, 1932 in Burkettsville, Ohio to August and Marie {Koester} Post. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Lt. Col. Walter J. Reinhard, siblings; Gerald Post, Norma High and Donald Post and grandson Dustin Reinhard. Ruth is survived by her children; Daniel (Cathy) Reinhard of Tipp City, Joyce (John) O'Reilly of Portsmouth, NH, Kenneth Reinhard of Colorado, Robert Reinhard of New Carlisle and Nancy (James) Murray of Colorado. Also surviving are grandchildren; Danielle, Darlene, Michael, Jack, Ryan and Colin, one great grandchild, Ava, and sisters; Carol (Ralph) Art of Hicksville, OH and Wilma Quarin of Centerville, OH.

Ruth was a registered nurse for 54 years and worked for Dr. Price in Tipp City, Troy Hospitals and Dayton State Hospital. She settled in Tipp City in the summer of 1971. She was a business owner of the Railroad Carryout for over 20 years. Ruth was always a strong and independent women, she obtained her concealed carry permit at 85 years old with a marksmanship proficiency rating from her instructor. She was an exceptional community leader and volunteered in many capacities at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City. Ruth was the President of the Tipp Seniors for two consecutive terms and was instrumental in relocating the Tipp Seniors from an antiquated building on First street to their new location on Hyatt street. She received the Outstanding Senior Citizen Award for Miami County for 2021.

A visitation will be held 10:30 AM until time of Mass at 11:30 AM, Friday, October 7, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH 45371 with burial at St. John's Cemetery, Tipp City. Father Robert Hale Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Ruth's honor to Catholic Charities, St. Vincent DePaul, AmVets or your favorite charity.
