Ruth Grafton Long, age 108, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Randall Residence of Tipp City.

She was born on October 16, 1916, in her parent's home in Casstown, Ohio, the daughter of Morton Eyre and Eva Rachael (Shoemaker) Grafton. She moved to Tipp City at an early age and became a life-long resident. Ruth was a 1934 graduate of Tipp City School. Her father, Morton Grafton, served for many years as town Marshall, Mayor, and President of City Council. Ruth was an active member throughout her life of the Tipp City Global Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the local Women's Society of Christian Service (WSCS) serving on the executive board, and offices in the Springfield District, and Ohio Conference.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 69 years, Lee Warren Long, son and daughter-in-law David and Anna Marie (Fearing) Long of Brookfield, Missouri and brother, Winfield Grafton of Tipp City, Ohio.

She is survived by sons Garnett W. Long (Linda) of Tipp City, Ohio; George C. Long (Barbara) of Centerville, Ohio; and daughter Lucinda L. Long of Gardner Maine. She is also survived by six grandchildren; Tracy (Dean) Buswell, Tricia (Steve) Kauzlarich, Deborah (James) Templeton, Gregory (Paula) Long, Meredith (John) Florkey, Ashley (Gordon) Haggard, ten great grandchildren: Brittni, Blair, James, Jacob, Anthony, Ella, Mia, Max, Declan, Gavin, and great-great grandchild: Madison Ruth, extended families in Missouri and Ohio, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00, Pastor Bonita Richie officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio.
