Dakin, Ruth A. age 83, of Tipp City, Ohio died Sunday, March 13, 2016 at her home with family by her side. Born February 28, 1933 in Sidney, Ohio to Clarence and Mary Frances (McClure) Drees. Ruth was a graduate of the University of Dayton. Ruth retired from Vandalia Schools where she was an elementary music teacher for many years. She is preceded in death by her brother Wayne Drees. Surviving Ruth is her son and daughter-in-law Tim and Tonya Dakin of Tipp City and grandchildren Cory Huff, Michigan and Daniel and is wife Megan Huff, Muncie, Indiana. Ruth attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, New Carlisle; and loved playing the piano and sewing. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 West Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Father Thomas A. Nevel officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
