Ruth V. Ashby

Ashby, Ruth V. age 85 of Troy, Ohio passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026. She was born October 4, 1940 in Tipp City to the late Samuel and Velma {Snyder} Gilbert.

Ruth loved her two sons, her two sisters, her grandchildren, and her extended family who are scattered across the world. She was a proud graduate of Tippecanoe High School, Class of 1958.

Ruth began a career with AT&T in California where she retired after almost 20 years of service. She moved back to Ohio and began working with American Honda doing data input and retired after approximately 12 years. Ruth was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Ruth will be remembered for her love of family, her enjoyment of reading and travel, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. In lieu of flowers her family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Ruth to please donate to a charity of your choice.
