Rosemary Sammons, age 90, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Rosemary was born on May 14, 1936, in Greenup, Kentucky, to the late Homer and Edna {Bentley} Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sammons; her parents; and her sisters, Dora Freeman, Evelyn Tubbs, and Sharon Phyllis.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Karen) Flora of Victorville, California, and Lisa (Kevin) Hedrick of Versailles, Ohio. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Leiann (Tyler) Huff, Rachel (Adam) Hershorin, Maggie (Sam Stachler) Hedrick, Benjamin Flora, and Samuel Flora; several great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Rosemary dedicated 47 years of service as a cashier at Chmiel's Grocery Store in Tipp City, where she became a familiar and friendly face to generations of customers. She took great joy in gardening, sewing, and creating crafts. Above all, Rosemary treasured her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating memories they will hold close for years to come.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of EverHeart Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness they provided to Rosemary during her final days.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, with funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio, where Rosemary will be laid to rest beside her husband, James.
