Ronald "Ron"
Eugene White
January 5, 1938 – November 23, 2025
White, Ronald Eugene "Ron" age 87 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025. He was born January 5, 1938 in Dayton, Ohio to Roy White and Mary {Thompson} Weinert. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, son Raymond White and siblings David Weinert, Nancy Weinert and Shirley White. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Joan {Kleibecker} White of Tipp City, children Chad (Danielle) White of Tipp City, Ohio, Larry White of Arcadia, Florida and Cindi Strange of St. Petersburg, Florida and siblings Henry (Nancy) Weinert, Tim (Lona) Weinert, Dan Weinert and sister in law Barb Weinert. Also surviving are grandchildren Luke and Toby White, Cory White and Joey and Jacob Strange and great grandchild Jackson White and several nieces and nephews.
Ron proudly enlisted in the United States Navy at just 17 years old. During his service, he worked aboard the USS Constitution and the USS Brownson DD-868. After his military career, Ron served as a police officer and detective for the Wayne Township Police Department—now the Huber Heights Police Department—and later retired from the Riverside Police Department. He also worked as a security officer at Good Samaritan Hospital. Ron loved attending The Great Darke County Fair and was an enthusiastic fan of the Cleveland Browns, Chicago Cubs, Boston Celtics, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He had a sweet tooth, especially for donuts, and was known as an all-around handyman with a perfectionist's touch. He was also a passionate Civil War enthusiast. His heart was especially big when it came to animals, all of which he loved like family. Above all, Ron cherished his grandchildren, finding great joy in listening to Luke and Toby chatter about anything and everything. Ron's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at Upper Valley Medical Center for their excellent care.
