Oberlander, Robert Joseph "Bob" age 78 of Troy, Ohio passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025. He
was born April 20, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio to Robert W. and Norma (Brinkman) Oberlander. Bob is
preceded in death by his parents and brother John "Jack" Oberlander. He is survived by his loving wife
Judith "Judy" Oberlander of Troy, Ohio, daughters Lisa (Eric) Narges of Ijamsville, Maryland and Kristin
(Alex Bamiagis) Oberlander of Arlington, Virginia, and siblings Carole (John) Muhlenkamp of Vandalia,
Ohio and Mary (Trent) Branum. Also surviving are grandchildren Emma and Abby Narges.
Bob graduated from Chaminade Julienne High School in 1965 and went on to earn his Bachelor of
Science degree from the University of Dayton. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
in Tipp City. Bob enjoyed woodworking, gardening, boating, and trips to the Outer Banks. He loved
watching action and comedy movies and treasured spending time with his family, especially his
grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM Friday, November
14, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Burial to follow
at Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral
Home, Tipp City. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
