Coey, Robert L. Sr. age 81 of Tipp City passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Springmeade Health Center. Born January 27, 1936 in Dayton, OH to James O. and Susie K. {Coleman} Coey. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary Coey and son, Tragg Coey, brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Coey and sisters, Deloris Smith, Shirley Butler and Bonita Thomson. He is survived by daughter, Joni Clark, Kettering, OH and son Robert L. "Rob" Coey, Jr., Tipp City, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Robert was the last of his generation: "All the chairs are now filled at the kitchen table; the family card game is now complete." He enjoyed NASCAR and the Indianapolis 500 and loved pets; "NO CATS". Private family services will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, Tipp City.
