Mathis, Ricky Alan age 58 of Troy, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Born September 16, 1962 in Portsmouth, Ohio to Brenda (Mathis) Coppock. Ricky was a carpet layer for Bud Polly's Floor Center of Tipp City. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jeff Venturino and step father Randy Coppock. He is survived by his loving mother, Brenda (Mathis) Coppock of Troy, Ohio, son, Brandon Alan Mathis of Austin, TX, and sister, Brandy Smith of Troy.  Also surviving are several treasured nieces and nephews. Music was Ricky's life passion. He was an exceptional guitar player and an avid Cincinnati Reds, Bengals, and OSU Buckeye fan.  He enjoyed NASCAR racing and his little kitty, Sam. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from Noon to 3:00 PM at the Tipp City Church of the Nazarene, 1221 W. Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371 with funeral service to follow at 3:00 PM.
