Michaelson, Richard J. "Dick" 73 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Monday April 4, 2011 at his home. Born October 30, 1937 in McKeesport, PA to Helen {Malik} Michaelson. Dick was retired from Vandalia Schools where he worked as a custodian. He proudly served his country during the Korean war as a Marine, was a member of the American Legion in Vandalia, FOE 2201, and VFW in Tipp City, and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church also Tipp City. He was preceded in death by his mother; Helen. Surviving are his wife of 51 years; Alice {Reynolds} Michaelson, Tipp City, children; Mark and his wife Renee Michaelson, Oceanside, CA, Tracy and her husband Robert Hughes, Cypress, TX, Todd and his wife Angela Michaelson, Moore, OK. Also surviving are brothers; William (Rose) Michaelson, Pataskala, OH, and Alex (Connie) Michaelson, Nokomio, FL and 6 grandchildren. Graveside service 10:30 AM Friday April 8, 2011 at St. John's cemetery, Tipp City Father R. Marc Sherlock officiating. Visitation 5 to 7 PM Thursday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W.
