Richard Lee Johnson, 59, of Vandalia, died on Saturday, November 22, 2014 surrounded by the love and care of his family and Acclaim Hospice.

Mr. Johnson was born June 2, 1955 to the late Jack R. and Mildred A. Johnson of Tipp City . He was a 1973 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and the Montgomery County Joint Vocational School . In1980 he completed IBEW Local 82 Apprenticeship Program, then became a career electrician with the IBEW Local 82 of Dayton, retiring in 2009. He pursued various hobbies in his retirement, including auto mechanics and helping friends and family. His top priority was to spend quality time with his grandchildren. He was active in the First Baptist Church, Vandalia and the Christian Life Center , Dayton .

Richard is survived by his daughter, Linsey A. Johnson (Zach Scheaffer), step-children, Benjamin (Rachel), Victoria, and Michael Miller, sisters, Lynn (Rick) Matson, Ann (Steve) Waltman, one neice, three nephews, and his five grandchildren, Kaden, Madison, Jackson, Parker, and Santana.

Visitation will be held at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City on Sunday December 21, 2:00-4:00 pm, with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Hospice chaplain, Randy Reed officiating. Contributions may be made to Acclaim Hospice, 7887 Washington Village Drive Ste. 135 . Dayton , OH . 45459.
