Randall Wayne (Randy) Elkins 67 of Tipp City passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at his home after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Randy was born May 10, 1943 in Piqua Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Edna Elkins. Also preceding him in death were his brothers-in-law, Charles Avey and Jerry Baldwin. He is survived by his son Richard Elkins of Tipp City, daughter Ivy and her husband Stuart Shaffer of Louisville Kentucky and their sons, Joshua, Jacob, Aiden and Aaron, and son Jesse Steven Moore II of Franklin Ohio. His sisters, Sharon Avey of Covington, Donna Baldwin of Troy and Diana and her husband Kim Sevitts of Tipp City also survive. He has many nieces and nephews of whom he was very fond of that also survive as well as other relatives and many friends. Randy attended Tippecanoe High school and joined the Navy to serve his country. He retired from Panasonic in Troy Ohio. The family would like thank Hospice of Miami County for the loving care they provided to Randy for the past two year. Randy cherished the friendships he shared with Ginny, Helen, Laurie, Libby, Roxanne and Pam as well as those he spoke with in the office. Their kindness will never be forgotten. Services will be held at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home on Saturday June 5, 2010 at 10:30 am. Visitation will be Friday night from 5-8 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Hospice and he would be very honored or to the Frings and Bayliff Funeral home in their care to cover the expenses.
