Watkins, Ramona J. {Miller} age 85 of Tipp City passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017 at SpringMeade in Tipp City. Ramona was born in Webster Springs, West Virginia to Bryan and Orpha (Skidmore) Miller. She graduated from Webster County High School in 1949 and came to Ohio in search of employment opportunities. She worked for Dolly Toy, then Spring Hill Nurseries, then as a receptionist in the Radiology Department of Stouder Hospital. Her number one job was always being a homemaker and taking care of her family. Ramona was a member of the Tippecanoe Historical Society, the Order of the Eastern Star, Tipp City Seniors and Zion Lutheran Church. Ramona was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Maynard Watkins, and brother, Exel Miller. She is survived by her daughter Jill (John) Greer, Troy, sons, Bryan (Ellie) Watkins, Hamilton, OH, Kyle (Theresa) Watkins, Columbus, OH and Greg (Sue) Watkins, Tipp City, six grandchildren, Brad (Erin) Watkins, Emily (James) Gray, Kevin Greer, Zach Watkins, Jake Watkins and Maddie Watkins, and two great grandchildren, Pace and Piper Watkins. She is also survived by a sister, Sandra (Jim) O'Dell, Craigsville, WV, sisters in law, Judy (Si) Cutcher, Piqua, Dee Krimm, Dayton, OH brothers in-law Jack Routsong, Florida and Charles Watkins, Troy along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St., Tipp City, OH; Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Ramona to Tipp City Seniors or Needy Basket.
