Kinnison, Phyllis J. (Smith) age 84 of Tipp City, Ohio died Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. Born in Tippecanoe City, OH on January 18, 1928 to the late Rolla and Opha (Besom) Smith. Phyllis was a retired secretary from Ron Thuma Insurance Agency and worked as the church secretary for the Zion Lutheran Church. She is preceded in death by her husband George Kinnison in 1999 after 52 years of marriage, her son Peter Kinnison, and her brother Don Smith. A 1946 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. Phyllis was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Tipp City for 65 years. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a Needy Basket and a FISH Volunteer. Surviving are her children Lynn (Chuck) Azukas, Haymarket, VA; Lisa (Greg) Benedict, Centerville, OH; and Joe (Catherine) Kinnison, Kerrville, TX. Her siblings Clarette Smith, Ann Smith, and Ted Smith all of Tipp City. Eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 3, 2012 at 11:00 am at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371. Burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
