Paul Randall Zych MD, 68, of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on April 4, 1957 in Berwyn, Illinois. He was the son of Thaddeus and Loretta Zych.
Paul attended the University of Illinois Chicago and graduated with Honors. He began his medical training at Loyola School of Medicine was, inducted into the AOA, the medical honor society reserved for the top 10% of the students. Then Paul began his residency in Emergency Medicine sponsored by the Boonshoft School of Medicine Wright State University. Paul began his lifelong career which spanned 42 years.
Paul was an attending at virtually every hospital in the Greater Dayton area. His love for the field was evident as he served as Medical Director for the Dayton International Air Show and was an advisor to the EMS and numerous police and fire department agencies. He was committed to participate in the education of the Emergency Residents, many of began practice in the Dayton area. He was an outstanding teacher to the medical students.
Paul is survived by his loving brothers, Rodney and Gregory, his nieces Gabriela, Stephanie and Cassandra, his Grand nieces Kennedy, Norah and Eliana, his Grand nephew Theo; his brothers -in-law, Brian and Bryan and his sisters-in- law Kathleen and Jacqueline. His parents were predeceased. “Uncle Paul” was generous to the family in many ways and often served as the final approval for suitors prior to his niece’s engagements.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday April 10, 2026 at the FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, from 10am to 12 noon. All are invited to this celebration. Final interment will be at Resurrection Mausoleum in Justice Illinois. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Good Samaritan Foundation, 31 Wyoming Street, Dayton, OH 45409. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
