Obituary

Studebaker, Paul C. age 91, of Troy, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving wife of 71 years Margaret (Grove) Studebaker and his family. Born February 27, 1923 to Albert Arthur and Kathryn (Honeyman) Studebaker. Besides his bride, Margaret, he leaves behind to cherish his memory two daughters. Linda (Stephen) Shinkle, Tipp City and Kathie (Robert) Yancey, Troy. Four grandchildren; Mike (Peggy) Shinkle, Angela Shinkle, Amy (Jim) Miller, and Betsy (Ron) Willis also four great grandchildren. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, and twin great grandsons Cody and Jacob Shinkle. Paul was a farmer. He had a long career as a manufacturing engineer for A.O. Smith Corporation, Tipp City before retiring in 1985. He was an avid beekeeper for most of his life and an accomplished woodworker. He proudly served in England in WWII as a member of the U.S. Army and cared deeply about the future of this great country. Paul worked long and hard all his life. He was an honorable, honest man and a faithful devoted husband. He was a good person and an even better dad and will be sorely missed. In celebration of his life wrap your arms around someone you love and hold them tight while you still can. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Hospice Chaplain John Shelton officiating. Visitation Thursday prior to services starting at 1:00 pm. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, PO Box 502, Troy Ohio 45373 in loving memory of Paul.
