Fahnestock, Patricia {DeHays} of Troy, Ohio died Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Born February 26, 1921 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Joseph A. and Carrie {Schuler} DeHays. Preceded in death by her husband; Joseph M. Fahnestock in 1988. She is survived by step-son; Nick and his wife Mary Von Fahnestock, grandchildren; Christopher (Gloria) Von Fahnestock, Michael (Lori) Von Fahnestock, Rupert (Jennifer) Von Fahnestock, great grandchildren; Christopher, Anna, Karsten, Max, Lucy, Joshua, Katerina and Julia Anne also surviving are nephews and nieces; Hottes DeHays and children Tami and husband Russ Joyner {Jessica and Cody Joyner}, Pam and husband Jay Malone {Jason, Cory and Kyle Malone}, Jennifer and husband Ralph White {Taylor and Ryan White}, Ronald and Eunice DeHays and children; Ron and Margie DeHays {Christopher, Lauren, Matthew and Thomas DeHays}, Lisa and Rick Young {Jennifer and Alex Young}, Nancy and Stephen Hepburn {Patrick and daughter Hailey} {Kristina and Inna} Patricia was a 1940 graduate of Troy High School and attended Ohio University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1946, a Bachelor of Science degree in 1949 and Master of Arts degree in 1955. She taught 4th and 5th grade at Tipp City elementary for 2 years, and taught English and History at Bethel High School for 3 years. Patricia retired from Greenville school district where she taught Language Arts for 24 years and was the High School Librarian for 7 years. She was a 56 year member of the Troy Grange, a member of Troy First Presbyterian Church, tutored for the Troy Literacy Group, volunteered at Carriage Hill Farm for 25 years and was a member of the Tipp City Senior Citizens and was a part of the "Senior Steppers" line dancing group.
