Wackler, Norman L. 78 of Tipp City died Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Born March 4, 1933 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio to the late Luther and Helen {Brandt} Wackler. He is preceded in death by brothers; Ned and Eugene Wackler and sister; Miriam Hartley. Surviving are his wife of 48 years; Carolyn {Elleman} Wackler, Tipp City, son; Jeff Wackler, Tipp City, twin brother; Nelson and his wife Patricia Wackler, Troy, sister in-law Joan Wackler Pleasant Hill and several nieces and nephews. Norman proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion Post 586 and the VFW in Tipp City, AmVets 99, Vandalia and the Troy Fish and Game. Funeral service will be held at Noon on Friday April 15, 2011 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371, Pastor Pam Hitchcock officiating, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation 10:00 AM to Noon on Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
