Thompson, Nora A. age 86 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Sunday June 30, 2024. She was born June 23, 1938 in Whitewood, Virginia to Alexander and Tennessee {Grizzle} Cantrell. Nora is preceded in death by her parents, husband; William Thompson, siblings; Jessie Cantrell, Henry Cantrell, Victoria Dotson, Lilly Boyd and Daisy Cantrell and son in law; Tom Newton. She is survived by her children; Bryan (Kimberly) Thompson of Elyria, Ohio and Leanna Newton of Tipp City, Ohio, and sister; Dora Barnes. Also surviving are her grandchildren; Bryan William, John Walden, Alexander Joseph and Cole Justin Thompson, Deborah Sue Chapleski and Sarah Ellen Gulick and great grandchildren; Madeline Xandra Walls, Zooey Aleksandra and Hannah Rose Chapleski.

Nora graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse from JVS and continued her education at Edison State College where she graduated as a Registered Nurse. She was member of Primitive Baptist Church in Virginia and Christian Chapel in Tipp City. Nora was a care taker through and through and always wanted to make people smile. She volunteered for the Troy and Vandalia Senior Citizens and local nursing homes. Nora loved flowers and enjoyed selling a little bit of everything including; Tupperware, Avon and Tiara. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Nora will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Monday July 8, 2024 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Funeral service 10:00 AM on Tuesday July 9, 2024 at the funeral home. Pastor Steve Wilson officiating.  Burial to follow at Forest Hills, Tipp City.
