Catey Dr. Nicholas "Nic" David, 68, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Georgetown, KY. He was born March 1, 1948 in Troy, OH, son of the late Arthur "Doc" and Doris "Billie" Pugh Catey. A graduate of Tippecanoe High School, he received his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Cincinnati. He taught in Ohio, Alaska and Kentucky, retiring last year from Grant County Schools in Kentucky. He is survived by his brother, Joseph (Becky) Catey, Columbus, OH; sisters, Hope Ann (Dr. David) Reynolds, Wooster, OH and Rebecca Lou Catey, Tipp City, OH; nieces, Emily Catey Weiss and Caitlin Reynolds; nephews, Michael Catey and Lucas (Tiehl) Reynolds; step sons, Andy (Melissa) Gruber and Erik (Lisa) Gruber; as well as many good friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 26, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME.
