Borchers, Nelson C. passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Born May 2, 1919 in Vandalia, OH to the late Charles H. and Grace D. {Black} Borchers. Also preceding him in death are sister, Evelyn Harshman, and brother, Norman Borchers. He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Betty D. {Barker} Borchers, children; Jerry and his wife Mary Ann Borchers, Tipp City, Joyce and her husband Carl McGourk, Mableton, GA, James and his wife Annie Borchers, Kings Mills, OH, JoAnn Borchers, St. Augustine, FL, John and his wife Dianna Borchers, Tipp City, stepchildren; Jeff O'brien, Tipp City and Madonna Nease, KY and one sister Frances Martin, Lewisville, TX and 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Nelson was a builder and land developer and owner of Borchers Construction Co. and Borchers Home and Apartment Rentals. He was a faithful member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, Tipp City Rotary Club, Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, Antioch Shrine and Miami Valley Home Builders Association for over 50 years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday January 23, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City, Lay Pastor, Kristen Zimmann officiating and entombment to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made in memory of Nelson to Hospice of Miami County.
