Sonnanstine, Neal T. age 76 of Tipp City passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at home surrounded by loving family. Born April 19, 1941 in Dayton, OH to the late Earl and Neeta {Tayes} Sonnanstine. He is also preceded in death by brother, Jay Sonnanstine. Neal is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathryn "Katie" {Kuenemann} Sonnanstine, Tipp City, son, Matthew Sonnanstine, Rowlett, TX, daughter, Kelly Sonnanstine, Rowlett, TX, nephew, Todd (Liz) Sonnanstine and their children; Ben and Natalie and niece, Julie (Jim) Sibthorp and their children; Lily, Ava and Mia. Neal was a 1959 graduate of Tippecanoe High School. He was an accountant with the Virginia International Terminal and upon retiring in 2002 he returned home to the family farm. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Tipp City. Neal enjoyed acting and participating with the Reader's Theater, but mostly, he loved being outdoors, riding his tractor and telling stories. Visitation Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Funeral services Friday, December 22nd at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St. Tipp City; Pastors Jeff Glawe and Steve Gellatly officiating. Neal's wishes were to have his ashes scattered on Laffin' Place Farm; his home and favorite place. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Neal to Zion Lutheran Church; Stained Glass Window Fund or Miami County Hospice.
