Obituary

Hagen, Nancy age 92 of Tipp City, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Danbury Senior Living, Tipp City. She was born February 11, 1934 on her grandparent’s farm in Sidney, Ohio. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Helen {DeWeese} Cleckner, husband Gus Hagen Jr., brother Jerry Lee Cleckner and nephew Tim Crommes. She is survived by her children Kurt (Kim) Hagen and Kelly (Don) Rose and grandsons Christian (Hope) Hagen, Daniel (Gracie) Hagen and Ryan Rose. Also surviving is niece Holly (Todd) Meyer, Matt (Amanda) Cleckner, Mike Crommes and Tony Crommes.

Nancy was a lifelong resident of Tipp City and a proud graduate of Tippecanoe High School, Class of 1952, where she was a cheerleader. After high school, she worked at White Villa Foods. In 1956, she married the love of her life, Gus, and together they built a beautiful life and family.

Nancy was a devoted homemaker while her children were young. Once her children began school, she had a 44-year career as a teacher’s aide at Nevin Coppock Elementary School. She cherished the many friendships she made with teachers, staff, students, and families throughout the years. After retiring from Nevin Coppock, Nancy continued giving back to her community by volunteering at The Clothesline in Tipp City. She also enjoyed Silver Sneakers classes with her friends at the YMCA.

Family was at the heart of Nancy’s life. She especially treasured time spent with her grandsons, proudly attending their ball games and school events. She loved watching Don and Ryan perform and was always their biggest supporter. Nancy also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to visit her daughter, Kelly, and her family, and she loved helping Kelly with her dance studio.

Nancy was a true social butterfly who never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with her neighbors on Hartman Avenue and cherished the lifelong friendships she made over the years. She could often be found at Frisch’s enjoying a “chocolate Coke” with her lifelong friends, sharing stories, laughter, and good conversation.

Nancy’s warm heart, generous spirit, quick smile, and love for her family and friends touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

A Visitation will be held 2:00 PM until time of service at 4:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
