Hayes, Miriam L. age 96 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 in the Covington Care Center following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Born April 1, 1918 in Troy, Ohio to Russell and Dessie (Fosnight) Gorrell. Miriam was a retired Bookkeeper from Uhlmans's Department Store, Troy. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert S. Hayes 1978, and a son Doug Hayes in 1992, and sister Arline Baldwin Shaffer. Surviving are her loving daughter Sherry (Hayes) Hysinger, Tipp City; special granddaughter Melinda Hysinger, Tipp City; sister-in-law Martha Friend, Troy; nieces Linda Lamka and Tanna Sue Baldwin Addock, both ofTipp City. And numerous great nieces and nephews. A member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witness, Vandalia. Miriam loved music, singing, playing the organ and crocheting. FuneralServices will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main Street, Tipp City, OH 45371. Burial will be in Casstown Cemetery. Visitation 4 to 6 pm Tuesday prior to services at Frings and Bayliff. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Miriam to Hospice of Miami County or the Alzheimer's Association.
