Obituary

Johnson, Mildred A. 94 of Troy, OH passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, OH. She lived over fifty years in Tipp City before moving to Troy in 2001. She was born to parents Joseph and Effie Weatherhead, July 7, 1920. She was married to Jack Richard Johnson for sixty years until the time of his death in 2004. Mildred was preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Everett (Laura) Weatherhead, Leo (Mildred) Weatherhead, Orville (Bonnie) Weatherhead, Doris (Tom) Beyl, Herman "Dick" (Eleanor) Weatherhead, infant brother, Willard, Joe (Margaret) (Doris) Weatherhead and Kathryn "Sue" (Richard) Kasper. She is survived by her children; Lynn (Richard) Matson, Troy, OH Ann (Steve) Waltman, Marysville, OH and Richard Johnson, Vandalia, OH sister in-law, Janet Johnson, grandchildren; Aaron Matson, Wesley Matson, Jennifer Waltman Green, Steve Waltman II and Linsey Johnson, step-grandchildren; Michael, Benjamin and Victoria Miller, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mildred was a member of the Tipp City United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Alpha Sunday School Class, established in the early 1950's which she attended regularly. She worked as a full-time homemaker, bookkeeper and registered nurse. Funeral services for Mildred will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, August 29, 2014 at the Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH, Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM until time of service at 1:30 on Friday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Mildred to the Tipp City United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Senior Independence Hospice "Last Wish Fund", 6502 Poe Ave. Suite 100 Dayton, OH 45414.
