Hecker, Michael "Mike" David age 78 of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Tipp City, OH, passed away at UVMC after a short stay, Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Born March 11, 1944 in Dayton, OH to the late Robert C. and Martha J. {Boerger} Hecker. He is survived by his siblings; Thomas Hecker of Indianapolis, IN, James (Debbie) Hecker of Wyoming, MN, Daniel (Lisa) Hecker of Decatur, AL, Theodore Hecker of Tipp City, OH and Dianna (John) Borchers of Tipp City, OH. Mike is also survived by many nieces and nephews; Jason (Stephanie) Borchers, Andrew (Bailey) Hecker, Nicholas (Ailene) Hecker, Lauren Hecker, Elizabeth (Matthew) Schmahl and great niece; Emma Hecker.

Mike was a wonderful, caring person who never met a stranger. He was involved in many Tipp City and Indianapolis activities throughout the years. He made deep and lasting friendships, many of whom he went to school with many years ago. He especially loved his German heritage and belonged to the German Club in Indianapolis. Mike loved to golf and was an avid sports fan, especially Ohio State. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City. Mike resided in Indianapolis for a number of years and most recently in Tipp City where he grew up. He retired as a Systems Analyst at the Defense Accounting and Finance Center in Indianapolis.

Visitation will be Monday, October 17, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City. Celebrant Father Kyle Schnippel. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City.
