Blackburn, Mary "Fleta" age 82 of Tipp City gained her wings and went to be with the Lord on January 26, 2021.  Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her through her struggles and ultimately gave her peace.  She was born September 5, 1938 to Gillis and Mary {Woodard} Shackelford in Rose Hill, Virginia.

Fleta is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband; Paul, son; Johnny and daughter; Juanita.  She is survived by her children Eugene (Gail) Blackburn, Carl Blackburn and Peggie Chaffer, grandchildren; Josh (Anna), Johnathan (Melissa), Doug, Brad, Crystal (Cory), McKenzie and Isaiah and great grandchildren; Sam, Phil, Cwenlee, Haley, Lorian, Jonah and Oliver, as well as her extended family; Becky, Jammie and Pat, her church family and many nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed making candy, baking, cooking, quilting, needlepoint, gardening both vegetables and flowers, and caring for others.  Fleta had an overwhelming joy for spending time at church where she was an active and dedicated member of Uplifted Community Church of God.

Visitation 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Friday, January 29, 2021 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371.
