Rogers, Mary Catherine (Née: Rehmert) age 87 of Troy, OH passed away at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton on July 7, 2021 after complications from surgery.  Mary was born on March 30, 1934 on a farm in Darke County, OH.  She was the first child of Leo and Louise (Zeller) Rehmert and was followed by 3 brothers and a sister.  The family moved to Miami County and rented farms in Concord Township west of Troy.  She attended Concord School and subsequently graduated from Troy High School in 1952.  She met Ron Rogers at a skating rink and they married in August of 1954.  Mary worked for Aero Products for a short period and Ron for GM Inland Division for 30+ years as a plant Electrician.  Two sons, Donald Rogers (1959) and John Rogers (1961) were born in Troy.  The family relocated to Tipp City, OH where they spent most of their family years until recently.  Mary was preceded in death by brother Bruce Rehmert and is survived by brothers, Eugene Rehmert and Robert Rehmert (Doris), sister Gloria Simmons (Mark) her sons Donald and John (Kelly) and 3 grandchildren; Hannah Rogers, Christine Rogers and Andrew Rogers.  Mary as the oldest looked out for all the family with great ability and compassion.  She was a loyal member of Zion Lutheran Church in Tipp City where she and Ron were very active. Visitation 11:00 AM until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, 14 W. Walnut St. Tipp City, OH.  She will be interred at Dayton Memorial Park on N.
