IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Martha "Joan"
Vieira
September 23, 1931 – November 3, 2022
Martha Joan (Wilson) Viera, 91, of Perrysburg Ohio, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Koester Pavilion in Troy, Ohio. She was born on September 23, 1931, in Springfield, Ohio. She was the youngest child of William Jennings and Gladys Mae (McCartney) Wilson. Joan had a warm smile and contagious laugh. Joan was a Christian and studied her bible daily. She attended church regularly until she was unable but that didn't stop her from reading her "Daily Bread" and watching church on the TV. Joan loved to sew, garden, can, cook, read, send cards, and her favorite, needlework. Joan treasured family time with her children and grandchildren. Her eyes lit up whenever she spoke of them. While her husband was alive, they traveled to California, Michigan, Florida, Massachusetts, and southwest Ohio to visit family. Joan became computer savvy later in life and enjoyed playing solitaire and spider on her computer as well as surfing the net. Whenever she got stuck on the computer, she would call her buddy, Cindy (her niece) for help. Joan loved animals, often talking to, and feeding the birds and other wildlife that came into her yard. She cherished her pets Sniffer the dog and Warlock the cat while they were living.
Joan is survived by her 5 grandchildren, Crystal Garcia of Huber Heights and her brother Scott, Angie Hooper of Springfield, Amanda May of Huber Heights, Ronald Moore, 17 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, 10 nieces, 3 nephews, and her loving neighbor Billy and his family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Vieira of Perrysburg, her daughters, Sharon Sharp and Patti Moore of Springfield, her sister, Patricia Yannucci of Springfield, her brothers, Gerald Wilson of Springfield and Robert Wilson of Tipp City, her mother, Gladys Gray of Tipp City and her grandson Gary Moore of Springfield.
A celebration of her life will take place later with her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Online condolences may be expressed at www.fringsandbayliff.com.
