Obituary

Rogers, Martha Mae passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 and is now peacefully at rest in the arms of the Lord she served so well. Born October 27, 1922 in Ludlow Falls, OH to George W. and Mary {Thomas} Iddings. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 60 years, Wesley E. Rogers. Loving Mother to ; Judith (Thomas) Smith of Shoreview, Minnesota, Joyce Maga of Troy, Ohio, Thomas (Claudia) Rogers of Tipp City, Ohio, Deborah (David) Taylor of Farmland, Indiana, Cynthia (Ronald) Price of New Lebanon, Ohio, Elizabeth (Douglas) Weingart of Louisville, Ohio. She leaves a legacy of 17 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Martha worked in the office at JC Penney in Troy early in her marriage, then at Brown Bridge Mills/Kimberly Clark, Troy, Ohio for numerous years. She worked after retiring from Brown Bridge Mills as a bookkeeper for Dr. Dominic Maga until her final retirement.

Martha was an accomplished musician and accompanist. She loved music, and played the organ and piano for over 60 years for various church services and musical events. She was a faithful member of Troy First United Methodist Church.

She and her family lived in Tipp City for many years. For the past three years she has been a resident at Randall Residence.

As her family, we are thankful for the loving care Martha received at Randall Residence in Tipp City and to all the wonderful people at Crossroads Hospice in Dayton. Martha greatly appreciated the many kindnesses she received from all of you.

A celebration of life service and funeral will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Troy First United Methodist Church, Troy, Ohio; Reverend David Leckrone officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in West Milton, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon on Monday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371.
