Stapleton, Marilyn Sue age 89 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. Marilyn was born September 5, 1932 in Ludlow Falls, Ohio as the youngest of five children of Randall and Henrietta Iddings. She graduated from West Milton High School and was a lifelong resident of Tipp City, Ohio. Marilyn spent her last years at StoryPoint of Troy. She was a devoted wife to Everett "Bud" Stapleton during their 47-year marriage and a caring mother and grandmother.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings; Phyllis Stoner, Wayne Iddings, Joan Iddings, and Ned Iddings. She is survived by three children; Gregg (Kathy) Stapleton of Seneca, SC, Rex Stapleton of Troy, OH, and Julie (Michael) Schultheis of Woodstock, GA, eight grandchildren; Lauren Hough, Michelle Dittrich, Brent Schultheis, Eileen Stapleton, Charles Stapleton, Patrick Stapleton, Brandon Schultheis, Phillip Stapleton, and seven great-grandchildren.

Marilyn worked for the Tipp City school system. After retirement she volunteered at Upper Valley Medical Center. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cards, and spending time at the lake in Michigan.

A visitation will be held for Marilyn on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00-11:30 AM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Funeral service will begin at 11:30 AM. Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
