White, Malcolm Winslow age 91 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. He was born on November 25, 1933 on the shores of Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaugagoggchabunagungamaug in Webster, Massachusetts to the late Royal W. and Lucille {Gray} White. Malcolm is preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth White, and sister Judithe McMullen. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Connie {Decker} White of Tipp City, children Barb White of Florida, Bob (Charlotte) White of Florida, Marilyn Christopher of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, Steve White of Newark, Ohio, Leslie (Troy) Boucher of Arizona and Judy White of Arizona and step son Jon (Tonya) Glaser of Tipp City. Also surviving are grandchildren Trent, Devin, Daphne, Taylor, Matthew, Wes, Brooke, Natalie, Samantha, Haley, Olivia and Gracie and great grandchildren Baylor, Brooks, Isaac, Riley, Janeva, Noori, Eliza, Maddox and Harper.
Malcolm graduated from Rutland, Vermont High School and Mount Hermon School for Boys in Massachusetts. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, he was on the faculty of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio for 24 years. Malcolm was the Manager for Professional Development for the National Management Association and served as Executive of the Institute of Certified Professional Managers. He was also a CPM himself. At OWU he received seven varsity letters in sports and was co-captain of the Swimming Team. Malcolm was also president of his junior class. For several years he lived in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. He was an Eagle Scout and graduate of the BSA National Aquatic School. At Mendham, New Jersey Malcolm served as waterfront instructor and waterfront director at Camp Sunrise in Orwell, Vermont, BSA camp for boys. He later served as counselor at Crippled Children's Camp for two seasons near Brandon, Vermont. The Junior Chamber of Commerce in Mt. Vernon named Malcolm "Outstanding Man of the Year" in 1958. As a Boy Scout leader at Presbyterian Church, he served on the Muskingum Council of Boy Scouts at Zanesville, Ohio and Scoutmaster in Mt. Vernon. Malcolm was also President of the Cancer Society in Mt. Vernon and later in Sidney, Ohio. He was Swim Team coach at the Mt. Vernon YMCA and later the YMCA in Sidney, Ohio. Also in Sidney, Malcolm served on the Red Cross Board for two terms and became its President for two more years. He became a 32nd degree Mason in 1958 and a Shriner soon after. As a substitute teacher and full time regular public teacher, Malcolm taught Special Education at Sidney High School and became a substitute teacher after retiring from Edison State Community College and Wright State. As a Private Pilot, he owned two different airplanes. Malcolm and his wife, Connie, operated the Shelby County Home for Children and the home for delinquent boys. Together they also operated channel 13 Productions and Cable TV Sports, a company serving nine Cable TV stations and he was Vice President for sales for Cable TV Organization Across Ohio in Piqua. Malcolm was actor, director and President of the Troy, Ohio Civic Theatre and also had leading roles in Tipp City players. Before moving to Western Ohio, he was 2nd Vice President of the Mt. Vernon Kiwanis Club. A large part of his background includes many years as an insurance agent and ownership of Swifty Print in Sidney. For about ten years Malcolm was well-known as a meeting speaker and seminar leader with appearances in nearly all of the United States. He sold subscriptions to the Dayton Daily News at shopping malls, colleges, big box stores and county fairs. Malcolm sold real estate and securities in Dayton. He owned and operated a cosmetic and intimate apparel business with a staff of 47 women. Malcolm held a position of Sales and Marketing Manager for Vertak Corporation, a company manufacturing experimental aircraft and was Marketing Manager for Piper Aircraft at the Dayton airport. He and Connie owned five horses and operated an English riding academy with more than 20 students and attended and operated horse shows for 15 years after retirement. Malcolm moved to Tipp City in 2021.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM, Friday, September 5, 2025 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Burial to follow at Polk Grove Cemetery, Vandalia.
