Hathaway, Dorothy Madlyn 82 of Tipp City passed away January 20, 2014 at Sterling House in Beavercreek, OH. She was born February 2, 1931 in Paintsville, KY to the late William L. and Gracie {Moore} Davis. Also preceding her in death are first husband; Thomas Ned Benedict, second husband; George Hathaway, daughter; Deborah Baldwin, siblings; Walter Davis, Watson Davis, Nina Davis, Ina Barnhart, Sybil Burchett, Paul Davis, Ila Akers Kehrwecker, Willard Davis and Audrey Zerbe. She is survived by her daughters; Vicki (David) Oedy, Indianapolis, IN, Sharon (Johnny) Elias, Lake Jackson, TX and son; Greg (Lisa) Benedict, Centerville, OH along with 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Madlyn was an administrative assistant with Standard Oil of Ohio for many years. She enjoyed reading, walking and spending time with her family. No formal services at this time.
