Studebaker, M. Margaret 90 of Troy, OH passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born to Roy and Myrtle Marie {Ashcroft} Grove on June 27, 1924 in Tipp City, OH. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Paul on August 9, 2014 and her siblings; Katherine Kiser, Imogene Tobias, Robert Grove, Evelyn Ryman and Richard Grove and twin great grandsons, Cody and Jacob Shinkle. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters, Linda (Stephen) Shinkle and Kathie (Robert) Yancey, four grandchildren; Mike (Peggy) Shinkle, Angela Shinkle, Amie (Jim) Miller and Betsy (Ron) Willis and four great-grandchildren. Margaret attended Tippecanoe High School and left to marry her sweetheart before he departed to serve our country in the United States Army during WWII. Fulfilling a promise she made to her mother, Margaret returned to finish her high school education in 1994 at Tippecanoe High School. She retired in 1986 after 20 years as a cashier/cook in the cafeteria of several Troy schools. After retiring she volunteered for over 10 years in the Dettmer Gift Shop at UVMC. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker for over 71 years, Margaret also loved ceramics, oil/watercolor painting, knitting and crocheting. Over the last several years she turned to reading mystery/romance novels as a favorite pastime. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her quiet strength, guidance and love will be missed by all who knew her. In honor of her life, wrap your arms around someone you love and hold them tight while you still can. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2:30 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371, Hospice Chaplain, John Shelton officiating, burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1:30 until time of service at 2:30 at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in loving memory of Margaret to Hospice of Miami County.
