Warf, Lonnie A. age 91 of Tipp City passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at his home. Born May 27, 1925 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to Alanzo and Mae Warf. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Louise Gollnitz, daughter, Karen Hardin and son, Rick Meeks. Lonnie is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Eleanor {Zubrick} Warf, children; Dane (MaryAnn) Warf, Centerville, OH, Diane (Mike) Balliet, Houston, TX, Jane Block, Jasper, GA and David (Vicki) Meeks, Springboro, OH along with 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Lonnie was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City and was a life member of the American Legion Post 586, Tipp City. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to further serve his community as a Dayton Firefighter. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, OH; Msgr. William R. Myers, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park, Dayton, OH. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the church.
