Pelphrey, Leroy age 80 of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Leroy was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on February 16, 1941 to the late Don and Lavada (Reed) Pelphrey. He is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings; Carroll Pelphrey, Donald Ray Pelphrey, and Joe Pelphrey. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Virginia (Trimble) Pelphrey of New Carlisle, Ohio, children; Sheila (Alan) Leathers of Columbus, Ohio, Bruce (Lisa) Pelphrey of Tipp City, Ohio, and Suzan Pelphrey of New Carlisle, Ohio, siblings; Jack Pelphrey of Springfield, Ohio, Naomi Conley of Huber Heights, Ohio, Mary Alice Johnson of Hager Hill, Kentucky, five grandchildren; Lauren (Jeremy) Gray, Mary Pelphrey, Rachel Leathers, Bruce Reed  (Samantha) Pelphrey, and James Clayton (Bobbi-Jo) Pelphrey, and one greatgrandchild, Genevieve Gray.

Leroy worked for 30 years at General Motors Company as a Tow Motor Driver.  He was a member of the United Auto Workers and enjoyed working on his '66 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible. He was an avid bowler in his younger years and a huge Kentucky Wildcats fan. Leroy enjoyed hanging with his friends at the local McDonald's and loved spending time with his family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 3:00-5:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371, with funeral service beginning at 5:00 PM. Pastor Hollie J. VanHoose officiating. Burial will be the following day Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 3921 Kentucky Route 40 W., Staffordsville, Kentucky 41256. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Leroy to the Alzheimer's Association, 31 W Whipp Rd, Dayton, OH 45459.
