Jones, Lauryne C. age 85 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Lauryne was born on March 11, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois, the only child to the late Lawrence P. and Inez M. {Eliasson} Stich. Lauryne is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Terence G. Jones who passed in 2016. She is survived by her children; Christopher (Susan) Jones of Chicago, IL, Elizabeth Jones of Tipp City, Patrick (Teresa) Jones of Dayton, OH, and Robert (Misty) Jones of Tipp City. She is also survived by her three wonderful grandchildren; Oakley, Daniel, and Lauren Jones, and her beloved Siamese cat, Beau.

Lauryne received both her Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, and her Master's Degree in English Literature, from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  She was a teacher at the Vandalia Playschool for twenty years.  She was proud to be a master embroiderer with the Embroiderers Guild of America, a member of the St. John's Rosary Altar Society and Parrish Council through the 80's and 90's and a great supporter of Animal Rescues.  She enjoyed reading, crafting, and collecting beautiful things. She loved raising her kids and spending time with her grandkids. Lauryne was a prolific traveler, traveling nearly all over the World. She was a resident of Tipp City for 56 years and enjoyed small town living, but always longed for her hometown of Chicago.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Lauryne on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 11:00-12:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, OH 45371 with a memorial service beginning at Noon. Followed by a private burial at St. John's Cemetery. Lauryne's family invites friends and family to join them for a luncheon at St. John the Baptist Church directly following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lauryne's memory to The Tenth Life, Dayton's only no-kill cat rescue and adoption facility, PO Box 178, Alpha, OH 45301.
