Lowery, Kenneth L. 87 of Tipp City passed away Friday, March 9, 2012 at Grandview Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. Born April 28, 1924 in Knoxville, TN to Jack and Roxie {Williams} Lowery, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his British war bride of 67 years, Peggy {Walker} Lowery, children; Ken Lowery, Teresa Wiley, Marian Williamson all of Tipp City and Mike (Bonnie) Lowery, Maplewood, Ohio, grandchildren; Kenny (Kris), Danny, Jamie, Jeremy (Sandy), Carly (Keith), Misty, Melissa, Matthew, Jack, Kate, Josh and Farrah as well as 15 great grandchildren. Kenneth was a member of the "Greatest Generation", proudly serving his country during WWII in the United States Army as a paratrooper during the invasion of Normandy. He had worked for Dayton-Wolther Co. as an expediter. Kenneth was a sports fan and loved the Cincinnati Reds, he also enjoyed gardening. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 14, 2012 at 6:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371, Pastor Bonita Wood officiating.
