Obituary

Garland, Kay Imo {Clase} 78 of Tipp City passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. Born September 27, 1934 in Van Wert, Ohio to Maurice F. "Bus" and Imogene {Layton} Clase Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother; Maurice "Junior" Clase. She is survived by her husband; Charles V. Garland, sons; Charles M. and his wife Christine Garland, Huber Heights, OH, Timothy W. Garland, Tipp City and daughter; Marla G. and her husband Joel Robins, Macedonia, OH, along with brother; Dennis and his wife Janice Clase, Logan Co., OH, grandchildren; Michael (Christina) Garland and Melinda (Steve) Griffin and great grandchildren; Bryton M., Deacon S. and Destiny Garland. Kay had worked for Tuffy Brooks Sporting Goods as a manager in the lettering dept. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Tipp City, an Associate Member of the Korean War Veterans Association, Western Ohio Chapter, Piqua, OH and a "Kentucky Colonel". Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church, 445 W. Evanston Rd., Tipp City, OH with Pastor Dan Williams officiating. Burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Contributions may be made in memory of Kay to Hospice of Dayton. www.fringsandbaylff.com
