Garrison, Joseph E. age 78 of Tipp City, Ohio died Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. Born April 9, 1933 in Paris, KY to Edward and Onie (Spencer) Garrison. Joe owned and operated Garrison Concrete in Tipp City for 38 years. He loved working, running his bulldozer, and hanging out at the Troy Waffle House. Preceding Joe in death were his parents, his loving wife of 51 years Lena Ruth (Ham) Garrison; daughter Veressa Faye Garrison; brother Bradley Garrison; and sister Teresa Walters. He is survived by his daughters Goldie (Jerry) Thompson, Washington State; Starlet Stern and Rhonda Garrison, both of Tipp City. Brothers Charles, Douglas, and Gayle Garrison all of Kentucky; Jerry Garrison, Tennessee. Sisters Melody Collins and Wanda Whitaker both of Kentucky. Ten grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, August 8, 2011 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 West Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will begin at noon Monday until time of service at 2:00 pm.
