Sowers, Jerry Eugene age 83 of West Milton, Ohio passed away at Hospice of Miami County with family by his side on March 5, 2024. Jerry was born on February 6, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Earl F. and Nanny B. {Self} Sowers. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife Barbara J. Sowers, children Julia A. Sowers, Jennifer L. Rosseland, siblings Earl F. Sowers Jr., Robert Sowers, Jack Sowers, Terry Sowers, and Tomas E. Sowers.  Jerry is survived by twin sons Michael E. (Patricia) Sowers of West Milton, Ohio and Mark E. (Laura) Sowers of Vandalia, Ohio, siblings Joy Ray of Butler, Ohio, Larry "Bill" (Juanita) Sowers of Arkansas, five grandchildren, Jacob (Kate) Sowers, Olivia Sowers, Jesse (Traci) Ratcliff,  Laura Rosseland and Justin Sowers and two great grandchildren, Colton  and Peyton.

Jerry lovingly took care of his wife Barbara until her passing in 2022. He was an avid reader, particularly Reader's Digest. He was born with a natural engineer mind and could construct almost anything. Jerry enjoyed music especially bluegrass, one of his favorites being Tom T. Hall. He liked sitting outside feeding the birds and drinking his Keystone Light.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Ohio. A gathering of family and friends will follow from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Milton Union Senior Community Center, 435 W. Hamilton St., West Milton, Ohio 45383. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made is Jerry's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 1404 Goodale Blvd #200, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
