Janeen Estelle Cain, born Janeen Estelle Druley, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on January 18, 1955, and lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. Janeen had a generous heart, a joyful spirit, and a warmth that touched everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Cain; her brother, Scott (Angela) Druley; her sons, Matthew (Shellie), Andrew, Michael (Kelsey), and Nathan (Amy) Cain; and her grandchildren, Gavin (Brandilyn), Noah, Nathan Lee, Tanner, and Adrienne Cain. Her family was at the center of her life, and being a wife, mother, and grandmother brought her the greatest joy.
Janeen loved hosting family gatherings, especially at Christmas. She delighted in cooking, playing games, and creating memories with the people she loved most. She had always wanted to be a mother and embraced that role with love, kindness, and dedication.
She had a passion for travel and adventure. She treasured family vacations to their condo in Myrtle Beach, ski trips with the family, and 22 cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Traveling with her husband, Jack, whether to Hawaii or a small getaway in Frankenmuth, was always a highlight. Every trip, every outing, was an opportunity to make memories and enjoy life with the people she loved.
Janeen had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed golfing, fishing, swimming, reading, and playing bridge and other card games. She valued her friendships and loved spending time with friends, including ladies' trips and her Beta Sigma Phi sorority sisters. She also enjoyed trips to the casino with friends. She had a deep love for animals and cared for them with the same compassion and gentleness she showed to people.
Her career reflected her generous nature. Janeen worked as a neonatal and pediatric nurse, dedicating herself to caring for children and families. She was also involved in the creation of the CHADD organization in Miami County, supporting children and families experiencing ADD and ADHD. Caring for others was at the core of who she was.
In 2011, Janeen began a battle with cancer. Her treatment included many years of ongoing care. Through it all, she faced each challenge with courage, strength, and grace. Even in difficult times, she focused on her family, her friends, and living life to the fullest.
Janeen lived a rich and full life. She loved deeply, laughed often, and brought joy to everyone around her. Her warmth, generosity, strength, and zest for life will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
A Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM until time of Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371 with lunch following immediately afterwards.
