Slattery, James A. age 86 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 4, 2022. James was born in London, Ohio to the late Walter and Mary {Tieney} Slattery. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Douglas Slattery, three siblings, and a great-grandchild. James is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judy {McDermott} Slattery, children Greg (Karen) Slattery of New Carlisle, Ohio, Jane (Kevin) Tamai of Woodbridge, Virginia, sister Kathleen Kutscher of Tucson, Arizona, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

James was a member of St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipp City. He loved golfing, gardening, wood working, and playing horseshoes.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of Mass at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church , 753 S. Hyatt St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Father Robert Hale Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in loving memory of James to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. County Road 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home , Tipp City.
