Sammons, James E. age 86 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Monday, November 07, 2022. James was born in Lucasville, Ohio on February 20, 1936 to the late John and Etta Mae {Wills} Sammons. He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Janet Smith. James is survived by his loving wife Rosemary {Miller} Sammons, children; Barbara (Bob) Depwegg of Troy, Ohio, Diane (Jay) Hill of Riverside, Ohio, John (Becky) Sammons of Sidney, Ohio,  and Jackie (Randy) Landenburg of Piqua, Ohio, stepchildren; Michael (Karen) Flora of Victorville, California, and Lisa (Kevin) Hedrick of Versailles, Ohio, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

James did maintenance work for Miami County for several years. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). He enjoyed golfing, watching Cowboy movies and hunting.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service at Noon on Friday, November 11, 2022 at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME , 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Pastor Dwight Stump officiating. Burial to follow at Miami Memorial Park in Covington, Ohio.
