Lochner, James R. 73 of Tipp City passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Stone Spring of Vandalia. Born November 22, 1940 in Dayton, OH to the late Chester and Estelle {Bidwell} Lochner. He is survived by his children; David Lochner, Riverside, OH, Marcia Lochner, Tucson, AZ, Lisa Lochner, Tucson, AZ, Tonya (Dann) Thompson, St. Louis, MO, James Lochner, Franklin, OH, step sons; Todd (Dedra) McDaniel, California, Eric McDaniel, Phoenix, AZ and sister; Jeannette, Biloxi, MS along with 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. James had worked for Machine Products Corp. in Dayton, OH as a machinist. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, #2201 and VFW in Tipp City, he was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State buckeyes and he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. "Big Jim", "Pop", "Jimbo", was a loving father, husband and friend. He touched the lives of so many people through coaching baseball, supporting his children and friends on the ball courts and fields, and through genuine, loyal friendship. He was loved dearly and will be sorely missed." A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Clearcreek Chapel, 2738 Pennyroyal Rd., Miamisburg, OH 45342, casual attire encouraged.
