Giuliano, James R. Jr. of Tipp City, Ohio, retired credit and sales executive with Continental General Tire, died October 31, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Miami County, Ohio. Jim was born and raised in Newark, New Jersey where he met and married the love of his life, his late wife of 45 years, Joan Agresti. He was a graduate of Seton Hall Prep and Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. An ROTC cadet in college, upon graduation he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the United States Army Field Artillery stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He was honorably discharged as a first lieutenant. Throughout his nearly four decade business career, relocating from New Jersey to Massachusetts, back to New Jersey and retiring in Florida, Jim was a faithful member of the local Roman Catholic congregation wherever he lived, including St. John the Baptist, Tipp City during the last year of his life and Christ the King, New Vernon, New Jersey before moving to Florida. He was a lifelong Yankees fan and Republican who enjoyed the camaraderie of his friends, the excitement of travel to new places with Joan and later with his second wife, Rosary (Roz) Stacey, and any time spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a man of simple tastes who welcomed the opportunity to help others and carried life's burdens with humor and grace. Near the end of his life he shared the faith that sustained him in his illness, "Absent from the body; present with God." In addition to Joan and Roz, Jim was predeceased by his parents, Hon. James R. and Teresa (Cicenia) Giuliano, and his brother Major Robert W. Giuliano, U.S. Army, Retired. He is mourned by his children and the spouses, James R. III and Susan (Lau) Giuliano, Cherry Hills, Colorado, William M. and Elaine (Kelly) Giuliano, McLean, Virginia and Elizabeth Ann (Giuliano) and Richard Robbins, Tipp City, Ohio, ten grandchildren;Gabrielle, Nicole, Alexandra, Zachary, Richard Jr., Nicholas, Christine, Noelle, Matthew & Michael, by his brother and his wife, Dr. Michael A. and Karen (Larsen) Giuliano, New Vernon, New Jersey, brothers and sisters in-law, Joy (Spendlove) Giuliano, Anne (Agresti) Montefusco, Coleen (Ciccone) Agresti, Dr. Robert and Joyce (Peck) Agresti, and Dr. James and Linda (Gaitta) Agresti and by his cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2016 at The Church of Christ the King, 16 Blue Mill Rd., New Vernon, New Jersey, 07976. Interment will be immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, New Jersey. Arrangements have been entrusted to FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME, 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371. In lieu of flowers, Jim's family has requested that donations be made to Hospice of Miami County, Ohio PO Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.
