Finch, James R. 68 formerly of Tipp City passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on November 24, 1945 in Burlington, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his foster parents; Clayton "Penny" and Helen M. Finch, brothers; Steven Finch and Carrol LaGrand, wife, Dorothy M. Finch in 2005, sisters; Sherrill Finch, Opal Kidd and Louise Medler. He is survived by sisters; Barbara Jean (William) Wallace, Warsaw, MO, LaVona Bell Finch, Warsaw, MO, Marion Laird, Port Richey, FL, step-granddaughter; Amy Carlson, Oregon, several nieces and nephews and his special care givers; Judy Mountjoy and Philip Frost. James was a semi-truck mechanic for Wise Garage in Dayton, OH. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Tipp City United Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating, burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
