Dakin, James, David, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 27, 2017. He was born August 28, 1929 to Frank and Anne (Sucher) Dakin in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was President of Commercial Metal Fabricators, Inc. until his retirement. Jim graduated from the University of Dayton. He was an avid HAM radio operator and pilot. He was preceded death by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann. Jim is survived by his son Tim and daughter- in- law Tonya, step-sons, Corey(Shannon) Huff and Daniel (Megan) Huff, brothers, Michael (Andrea), Patrick (Rebecca) and great granddaughter Ellie Huff, nephew Chris (Morgan) and their children, Marin, Miller and Mack, and cousins Martha, Molly and Katie. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 12:00 PM at FRINGS AND BAYLIFF FUNERAL HOME 327 W. Main St., Tipp City, OH 45371; Pastor Bonita Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 12:00PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in loving memory of James to Hospice of Miami County.
