Brown, James E. age 72 of Fletcher, Ohio formerly of Tipp City, Ohio died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at his residence. Born March 7, 1944 in Troy, Ohio to Howard and Dora (Snyder) Brown. James was a Tippecanoe High School graduate. He retired from Hobart Corporation (PMI). Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jessie Ruth Brown in 2002, brother Floyd Brown and sisters Donna Selby and Nancy Keen. Surviving James are his daughters Teresa Brown Gray, Owingsville, KY; and Melissa (Jason) Marsh, Pottsville, Arkansas; sister Joann Cook, Lordstown, OH and brother George Samuel Brown, Tipp City. Six grandchildren Crystal (Will) Bostic, Chelsea (Anthony) Freels, Jennifer, Jessie, Hannah, and Lily Gray. Four great grandchildren Wyatt, Chloe, Ethan, and Forrest. James was a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club. He loved trains and had a large collection of model trains. He was an avid firearms collector and loved going to the shooting range. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, 327 W. Main St. Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Visitation starting at 9:30 am prior to service at 11:00 all at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. www.fringsandbayliff.com
