Herbert was born in Miami County, Ohio June 4, 1942 to Earl and Mildred (Bennett) Stiver. Herbert died June 1, 2023 in Troy, ohio, he was 80 yrs old. Herbert is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and sisters Mary, Edward, Elsie, Phyllis, John, Shirley, James, Kenneth (Ruby Clarice) of Dayton, Billy, Arlen, his half brothers Forest, Walter, Ralf, Robert, and a half sister Mrs. Ralf Shipp. Herbert is also preceded in death by his adopted parents Harvey and Leona Heffner. When Herbert was 2yrs old his parents passed within weeks of each other. The children were sent to the local children's home where he was adopted. Herbert tried his hand at farming then worked 30yrs in a machine shop. Herbert leaves behind his wife of 58yrs, Judy K (Miller) Stiver, his son's Todd L (Jennifer) Stiver of Greenville, Jeffery Stiver of Tipp City, and three grandchildren, Andrew, Kaitlyn, and Emily Stiver, a niece Sharon Bywaters of Dayton, and nephew Jimmy Millburn of New Carlisle. Herbert donated his body to science and will be buried in Rockfield Cemetery at Wright State University. No services are scheduled at this time.
